Psalm 91, Under His Wings: Finding Peace as a Mom at Home
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.—Psalm 91:1

Today wasn’t quiet.
The laundry mocked me. The toddler tested me. My patience packed its bags around 2:14 p.m.
But somewhere between the crumbs and chaos, I felt a gentle reminder: I’m not doing this alone.
Psalm 91 isn’t just a scripture—it’s a covering. A promise. A whisper from heaven that says:
“I’ve got you.”
Not just when you’re praying before bed.
But when your house feels like a war zone, your emotions feel thin, and your strength feels gone.
This “secret place” God talks about? It’s not always a closet.
Sometimes it’s the bathroom door you shut just to breathe.
Sometimes it’s the worship song on repeat while you fold another load.
It’s the moments you whisper “help me, Lord” with a baby on your hip and dinner half burnt.
And that’s enough.
Today, let His wings cover you.
Not because you did everything right.
But because He’s faithful—even on the messy, noisy, undone days.
Pray this:
Lord, thank You for being my shelter. I choose to abide under Your wings today, even in the chaos. Cover this home, these babies, and my heart. Be my peace when I have none left. Amen.
